Special Issue Introduction

Solar and wind are free, renewable, and geographically spread energy sources. They are a technically and economically viable alternative to fossil fuel sources and a trend for future energy solutions that help achieve net zero emissions across the energy value chain, from power generation or production to storage to distribution.

At the same time, the recent energy crisis has made the importance of renewable energy even more prominent.

Additionally, the dependence of this renewable energy on weather conditions poses a huge challenge to the national grid operators and consumers with high energy demand.

This Special Issue looks forward to studying one of the best ways to enter the post-fossil fuel civilization - the research status and challenges of renewable energy generation storage and distribution, hoping that the wind and sunshine that we can feel every day can not only bring happiness but also bring an energy that contributes to the progress of human society.

Sub-topic:
● Wind Turbine Model and Advanced Predictive Control Strategy
● Electric Grids, Wind and Solar Power Generation, Energy Storage and Power Generation Forecasting
● The Complementarity between Grid-connected Solar and Wind Power Systems
● The Challenge of Renewable Energy Technologies and Smart Grid
● Deep Learning and Machine Learning Applications in Renewable Energy Technologies
