Special Issue Introduction
Green manufacturing is the process of establishing eco-friendly production practices and taking advantage of renewable resources in the production of goods and materials. These eco-friendly practices could be used for manufacturing green products or greening the manufacturing process, and reducing pollution and waste. Establishing green manufacturing systems requires complex models with multiple and often conflicting sustainability attributes.
Multi-attribute decision-making models can be used to quantify trade-offs between economic, social, and environmental dimensions and select the most suitable green manufacturing options. This special issue provides state-of-the-art information for academic researchers, policy-makers, and practitioners concerned with developing new methodologies, tools, and technologies to formulate and solve multi-attribute problems in green manufacturing. We invite researchers and practitioners to submit high-quality research papers on multi-attribute operational and strategic approaches to support green manufacturing, distribution, and inventory decisions.
